To start your program you will need not only the Wild Cat for your Hybrid program, but three to four females for him to grow up with. Less then three can lower your Sires(male breeder) sperm count, more then four can also lower his sperm count as well. The more potential female breeders your Sire grows up, the better your chances are he will breed some of them and other females. When going with a larger amount of females, it’s good to have an intact male grow up with them also, to pick up the slack. This will also help to prevent the females from developing Pyometra. Pyometra is a severe uterine infection that can be caused from the female continuously going into heat without being bred. It can be very costly, time consuming, and may lead to a difficult surgery to clean out the infection and ultimately spaying your female. If left untreated, it will be fatal.
